    Role

    Our Assistant Media Planner will help develop and activate paid media (primarily digital) strategies to deliver against client objectives; communicate and present paid media strategies, and execute approaches to clients and internal stakeholders. This is a great opportunity for someone who wants to work in a growing innovative start-up environment learning about digital media and building brands for our clients.

    Responsibilities

    Assisting in the development of strategic media plans:

    • Conducting media research with in-house and 3rd party sources
    • Helping develop a strategic media & measurement approach
    • Assisting AMD in presenting to clients for approval
    • Finalizing a negotiated and effective media plan
    • Creating Activation Briefs and drafting and sending partner IOs
    • Facilitating successful implementation of plans with activation or buying teams (in-house or outside vendors)
    • Oversee ad trafficking, campaign staging and campaign launch QA
    • Integrating with any other strategic account or creative teams, if applicable

    Activating, maintaining and reporting on approved media plans:

    • Creating and maintaining media plans, flowcharts and buying guidelines
    • Assisting in deployment and optimization of paid social media campaigns (Facebook/Instagram, Twitter, Snapchat and others)
    • Ensuring that all partners are delivering on-budget, on-time, on-goal, etc.
    • Creating reporting deliverables for clients (weekly, monthly, wrap reports)
    • Collecting reporting from campaign partners (in-house and outside vendors)
    • Communicating approved optimizations to activation teams
    • Assist in developing and writing key performance insights and implications

    Ensuring a smooth, accurate and timely client billing process:

    • Working with internal finance team and clients on their billing process and timelines
    • Updating agency budgeting documents
    • Handling vendor or finance discrepancies as they arise
    • Saving and storing all signed buy authorizations, insertion orders, invoices, etc.

    Qualifications

    • Bachelor’s degree from a four-year college or university
    • Experience or internship working in an integrated, digital communications environment at an agency or brand, preferred
    • Ability to communicate effectively with clients while representing Engine as an expert in the industry
    • Extreme organization and project management skills are a must
    • Solid interpersonal and teamwork abilities – collaboration is probably the most critical requirement
    • Demonstrated curiosity, critical thinking and problem-solving abilities
    • Strong analytical abilities, including drawing insights from client or media reported trends
